Long-term landscape thinking — built into the day-to-day work.
We are an environmental services contractor, not an offset broker. Sustainability for us is the work itself — done properly, recorded honestly and built to perform for decades.
Across more than twenty-six years working with SEQ councils, government and commercial clients, our crews have planted, pruned, relocated, hollow-carved and maintained tens of thousands of trees, shrubs, garden beds and revegetated sites. The brief is rarely "plant something" — it is usually "establish a canopy that survives the next thirty summers", or "protect this remnant patch through a road upgrade", or "give the wildlife in this hollow tree somewhere to go before we remove it."
That is the work we focus on. Native revegetation with documented species selection and survival checks. Ecologist-led Hollow Habitat carving so removed habitat trees still earn their keep. Urban canopy care delivered to AS 4373 — never topping, never over-pruning. Vacuum excavation that keeps the roots and the buried services both intact. Water cartage applied where the species and the season actually need it.
And underneath all of it, an ISO 14001 certified environmental management system — so the chemicals, the green waste, the spill response and the chain-of-custody on every job line up the way councils, biodiversity-offset auditors and tier-one head contractors expect.
What "sustainable" actually means on a Rivercity job.
The commitments below are what crews follow on site every day — not aspirations, not slogans. They show up in our SWMS, our species lists, our chemical logs and our asset records.
Urban canopy
Pruning, formative work and street-tree care that supports a longer, healthier SEQ canopy. Every tree we touch is recorded against an asset ID so its history follows it.
Native planting
Climate-suited species sourced from SEQ-aligned nurseries — selected for soil, slope, salt-spray and bushfire context, not just nursery availability.
Hollow Habitat
Ecologist-led carved hollows in habitat trees we remove or relocate — giving glider, owl and microbat species a head start in revegetated and remnant patches.
Lower-impact digging
Non-destructive vacuum excavation around services and tree roots — protects buried utilities, structural roots and the long-term health of established canopy.
Considered water
Establishment watering and water-cartage applied where it earns its place — measured against species need, season and rainfall, not a blanket schedule.
Green-waste loop
Mulched on site where appropriate, returned as soil-conditioning back into garden beds, or routed to licensed organic-waste facilities — not landfill.

Hollow Habitat — saving SEQ wildlife when trees come down.
When a habitat tree must be removed, we don't just chip it. Our arborists work alongside ecologists to carve life-sized hollows into the salvageable trunk and limbs, then re-fix them as habitat poles in revegetated and remnant bushland — giving gliders, microbats, parrots and owls a head start while a young canopy grows up to replace what was lost.
- Ecologist-led design — hollows tuned to the target species' size, depth and entry orientation.
- Faceplate carving and habitat-tuning supported by AS 4373 best-practice arboriculture.
- Pre- and post-install monitoring with photo records against each habitat asset.
- Coordinated with council biodiversity officers and Brisbane 2 Million Trees program partners.

Trees for the climate — native plantings with verifiable canopy outcomes.
Council, state-government and corporate clients use us to deliver real revegetation — not photo-op planting days. Crews establish and maintain native plantings on parks, road corridors, riparian zones and reclaimed sites across SEQ, with documented species lists, geotagged plots and an establishment program that tracks every survival check until the canopy closes.
- Species selection drawn from SEQ regional ecosystem (RE) mapping — local provenance where available.
- Geotagged planting plots, photo records and survival checks captured against each site.
- Documented establishment program — watering, weed control, mulch top-up and replacement of losses.
- Carbon-offset and biodiversity-offset works delivered to the standards your auditor needs.
From regional ecosystem mapping to a handed-over canopy.
The same simple, documented process whether the brief is a single hollow-habitat install, a 5,000-tree revegetation site or a multi-year council street-tree program.
-
01
Site assessment
A qualified arborist or horticulturist walks the site — soil, hydrology, existing canopy, weed pressure, regional ecosystem context and asset condition all captured against the brief.
-
02
Species & method plan
Plant lists, hollow-habitat targets and method statements are prepared — drawing on SEQ regional-ecosystem mapping, council planting standards and biodiversity-offset criteria where they apply.
-
03
Field delivery
Crews from the closest depot install plantings, carve and re-fix hollows, lay mulch, set up establishment watering and capture geotagged photos, asset records and AS-standard inspection notes on every job.
-
04
Establishment & care
A documented establishment program covers watering, weed control, mulch top-up and replacement of losses — supported by survival checks until the canopy closes or the contracted handover.
Quiet, factual — no greenwash.
The standards below back every claim on this page. They are what we audit ourselves against and what councils, biodiversity-offset auditors and tier-one contractors check us on.
ISO 14001 — Environmental Management
Our environmental management system is ISO 14001 certified through SAI Global — covering environmental risk, waste, chemical handling and continuous improvement on every job.
AS 4373 — Pruning of amenity trees
Every pruning job is delivered to AS 4373 with the cut type recorded against the tree asset — no over-pruning, no topping, no shortcuts.
AS 4970 — Protection of trees on development sites
Tree protection zones, structural root zones and sensitive-root work delivered to AS 4970 — with vacuum excavation around services and roots where impact has to stay low.
QAA — Queensland Arboricultural Association
Member of the QAA. Our arborists and ecologists keep current CPD, qualifications and ticketing — and we keep the records audit-ready for council and government clients.
Council biodiversity & habitat programs
Aligned to council biodiversity strategies (Brisbane 2 Million Trees, Living in Logan, Sunshine Coast Environment Levy programs and equivalents) — we deliver the work councils have already planned around.
AS 4419 — Soils for landscaping
Garden beds and revegetation soils prepared to AS 4419 where applicable — drainage, structure and amendment matched to species and site, not bagged off the shelf.
