Maintainability review of planting plans, species advice, staging input and water-budget conversations — before the first truck rolls onto site.

Bulk landscape construction, mass planting, turfing, irrigation, establishment water, tree protection and defects-period maintenance for developers, builders and project managers across South East Queensland.
On a developer site, landscape sits between civil finishing and council on-maintenance — which means it’s the work most likely to cop the program compression, the late spec change and the “can you also water it for six months?” conversation. Doing it well is what stops a handover from becoming a replant.
Rivercity Environmental runs developer-side landscape, planting, establishment water, tree protection and defects-period maintenance from depots in Slacks Creek, Lawnton, Molendinar and Bundamba. We’ve worked alongside head contractors and project teams on estate streetscapes, biofilter basins, parkland handovers, foreshore POS, drainage easements and civil corridor planting across SEQ.
We come with the paperwork principal contractors expect — ISO 9001, 14001 and 4801, QBCC licensing, QAA membership and current insurances — plus the fleet to back the program: tippers, vac, water cartage, planting crews and arborists out of the closest depot.
From pre-construction planting advice through to on-maintenance / off-maintenance handover — we slot into the project program rather than asking it to bend around us.
Maintainability review of planting plans, species advice, staging input and water-budget conversations — before the first truck rolls onto site.
TPZ fencing, root-zone protection and arborist sign-off for retained trees, plus coordinated clearing within approved vegetation envelopes.
Garden bed prep, kerb & channel softscape, mass mulching, hard & softscape interfaces, paving edges and structural planting beds.
Tree, shrub and groundcover installation, hydromulching and turf laying across estates, streetscapes, civil corridors and POS handover areas.
Potable and non-potable water cartage on a documented schedule through the critical first 8–26 weeks — the difference between handover and replant.
Mowing, weeding, replant of failures, tree formative pruning and presentation through the maintenance / defects liability period to council standard.
As-built planting records, watering logs, replacement schedules, GPS tree data and photo packs — ready for the on-maintenance / off-maintenance sign-off.
Vac excavation around services, traffic-managed callouts, fleet support and reactive crews when the program shifts or weather rewrites the week.
Bulk construction, mass planting, water, vac, tree protection and defects-period maintenance — one ops contact, one set of paperwork, one fleet behind the program.
Garden bed construction, mass mulching, hard & softscape interface, paving edges, basin softscape and council-spec streetscape build.
Tree, shrub, groundcover and tubestock installation at volume — estates, streetscapes, biofilter basins, easements and revegetation areas.
Turf laying, hydromulching and surface finishes across POS, road reserves, parkland handovers and presentation-ready frontages.
Documented watering schedules through the establishment period — tankered water where mains, dripper or temporary supply isn’t practical.
Certified arborist sign-off, TPZ fencing, root-zone protection plans, retained-tree monitoring and pruning around build envelopes.
Non-destructive digging around underground services for landscape pits, tree planting near utilities and root-zone investigations — DBYD-led.
Mowing, weeding, top-up mulch, replant of failures and presentation works through the on-maintenance / defects liability period.
Tippers, water trucks, vac units, mowers, chippers and TMP-ready light vehicles dispatched from the closest of four SEQ depots.

Most developer landscape failures aren’t about installation — they’re about what happens in the eight, sixteen, twenty-six weeks after the last truck leaves. We schedule the watering, replace the failures, top up the mulch, formative-prune the trees and document every visit so the photo pack at sign-off tells the same story the council inspector sees on site. Establishment, defects and handover are one continuous job for us — not three separate quotes.
Built to slot into head-contractor prequalification, principal-contractor inductions and council on-maintenance sign-off — without the back-and-forth.
Certified Quality, Environment and OH&S management systems — audited via SAI Global and ready for a head-contractor prequal pack.
Queensland Building & Construction Commission licensed; Queensland Arboricultural Association member — certified arborists on retained-tree and TPZ work.
Insurances scaled to active construction sites and head-contractor inductions — certificates of currency on request.
Site-specific SWMS, JSEAs and traffic management plans — crews ready to take whatever site induction the principal contractor runs.
Four operational depots covering the major SEQ growth corridors — so planting days, water runs and reactive callouts don’t lose a half-day to travel.
